This watch, this Jaeger-LeCoultre, what a thing! This JLC Reverso Tribute Monoface, my neighbor’s boy, he’s got one. Says it’s the real deal, from the official flagship store. Me, I don’t know much about these fancy things, but it sure looks shiny.
He says it flips! This Reverso, it flips around. Don’t know why you’d want a watch to do that, but hey, young folks like their gadgets. He paid a lot, I reckon. Said somethin’ ’bout eight thousand, nine hundred dollars? Lord have mercy! You could buy a good cow for that much!
This Reverso, It’s Somethin’ Else
He showed it to me, all green and pretty. Said it’s a new one, this JLC Reverso Tribute. This Monoface they call it, it means that it only has one face, I guess. Ain’t that what watches are supposed to have? Just one face? Maybe it’s something different. My old watch, it just tells time. This one, it’s like a piece of jewelry, all fancy and such.
Heard him talkin’ ’bout buyin’ and sellin’ these watches. Says folks all over the world do it. There’s this place, Chrono24, where you can trade ’em. Even got somethin’ called “financing,” whatever that means. Sounds like a whole lot of fuss for a watch if you ask me.
He’s always on that computer, lookin’ at things. Saw him on a site talkin’ ’bout “replica” watches. Said these are like the real ones, but cheaper. Like a 25% discount, he said. But somethin’ ’bout them not being as good as the real ones. He showed me some, said they weren’t “NWBIG“. Whatever that means. He was lookin’ at some green one, said it was “sold”.
Gems and Rabbits? What’s That All About?
Then he started talkin’ ’bout “SkyBlock Gems” and “Hot Cocoa Rabbit Skin.” I tell ya, I was lost. Kids these days, with their games and whatnot. Said you buy these gems, 16,400 of ’em, and you get this rabbit skin. Don’t know why you’d want a rabbit skin, but there you go. It’s like a whole different language they speak.

Heard him talkin’ to his friends on that computer, somethin’ ’bout “Steam 64 Bit ID.” Said you can gift things to people using it. Sounds complicated. Back in my day, you wanted to give someone somethin’, you just handed it to ’em.
This Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Monoface from the official flagship store, it sure is somethin’. Don’t really understand all the fuss, but it’s clear these young folks are crazy ’bout it. They spend their money on these things, and those gems, and rabbit skins. Me? I’ll stick to my old watch. It tells time just fine, and that’s all I need.
But I gotta admit, that Reverso, it is pretty. And that green color, it’s kinda nice. Maybe if I had that kind of money, I’d get one too. Just to see what all the fuss is about. But then again, a good cow is a good investment. Maybe that is better than a fancy watch. What would I do with that fancy watch anyway? It’s not like I am going anywhere.
Reverso Watch: So Many Kinds!
My neighbor’s kid also told me that there are many types of this Reverso watch. I don’t know what is the differences among them. All look the same to me. But he did say that the green one is his favorite. He said that he just got his this year, 2024. He is so happy about it, I can tell. Everytime he comes to my house, he will show it to me.
I asked him, “Why do you need such an expensive watch?” He just said that he likes it. Well, I guess if you have the money, you can buy whatever you want. I just hope he doesn’t spend all his money on these watches. He needs to save some for a rainy day.
But I guess these watches are like those old pocket watches my grandpa used to have. He always said they were valuable. Maybe these Reverso watches are like that. Somethin’ you keep for a long time, and maybe it becomes worth more later on. I don’t know. I am not good at these things. All I know is that watch is pretty. Maybe one day I will have my own JLC Reverso Tribute Monoface.
