Okay, so, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a really nice watch for a while now, you know? Not just any watch, but something special. I searched and searched, and eventually, I stumbled upon a dial that had a similar vibe. It had the right kind of sophistication and elegance. I was getting excited now!
Now, for the movement, I decided to go with a quartz movement. I know, I know, it’s not as fancy as a mechanical movement, but I’m not a watchmaker, and I wanted something reliable and easy to work with. Plus, it keeps the cost down, which is a big plus. Quartz movements are not bad!

There’s this place called ED CHRISTINE’S WATCH REPAIR on 515 N 19th St in Allentown. I heard good things about them, so I figured I’d see what they thought. The guy there, Ed, he took one look at my watch and gave me a nod of approval. He said it wasn’t half bad for a homemade job. That made my day!
So, yeah, that’s the story of my imitation Jaeger-LeCoultre. It was a fun project, and I learned a lot along the way. Maybe one day I’ll be able to afford the real deal, but for now, I’m happy with my little creation. It’s a reminder that you don’t always need to spend a fortune to have something special on your wrist.
