Hey everyone, I’ve been messing around with watches lately, and I thought I’d share my latest project with you all. I got my hands on this high imitation Rolex GMT-Master II with the Pepsi bezel, you know, the red and blue one. It’s a real looker, and I wanted to see how well it stacks up against the real deal. I mean, it’s supposed to be a classic style, so I was curious about the details.
First off, I grabbed the watch and started playing around with it. I wound it up, set the time, and messed with the GMT hand. I wanted to see if everything worked like it should. Then, I took it into a dark room and shone a UV light on it. You wouldn’t believe what I saw! There were these hidden marks on the dial that lit up under the light. It was pretty wild because I didn’t even know they were there at first.
- Turned the watch on and started messing with the settings.
- Took it into a dark room for the UV light test.
- Checked out those secret marks under the light.
Diving Deeper
After that, I spent some time comparing this imitation to pictures of a real Rolex GMT-Master II. I looked at the bezel, the case, the bracelet, all that stuff. I noticed some small differences here and there, but honestly, it was way closer than I expected. It really made me think about how much effort these imitation makers put into their work.
I also wore the watch around for a few days, just to see how it felt on my wrist. It was comfortable, and it kept time pretty well. I even got a few compliments on it, which was kind of funny because they had no clue it wasn’t real. I just say “Thanks” to them. It’s been a fun little experiment, and it’s given me a new appreciation for both real and fake watches. I think it would be my treasure from now on.
