You know what? I saw this YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG, they say it’s from that fancy store, the Yves Saint Laurent official flagship store. Well, let me tell you, it’s just a bag. A purse, you know? But they make it sound like it’s made of gold or somethin’.
This YSL bag, they call it the LE CARRé. Sounds all la-di-da, right? They got it in black, this one. Real simple, like a box, but they call it “box” somethin’ fancy. Leather, they say, SAINT LAURENT leather. Probably just cow hide like any other bag, but they gotta make it sound special, I reckon.
They say this YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL is from some big shot designer, Yves Saint Laurent. I guess he was some fancy pants fella, startin’ his own brand in 1961. Probably gone now, but his name’s still around, makin’ these bags cost a fortune. They say the store is in France, some big place, Champs-�lys�es, or somethin’, sound like a lot of fuss. I bet all the rich folks go there, lookin’ for something to show off.

I heard some fella, Hedi Slimane, he changed the name of the store. Used to be Yves Saint Laurent, now it’s Saint Laurent Paris. Why they gotta change it? I don’t know. Makes it sound more important, I guess. They put YSL on their bags real big and bold, like they’re tryin’ to prove somethin’. Well I say that it is not necessary. They want you to show that big YSL logo, make you feel all fancy.
You can get this YSL LE CARRé bag online, too. They got a website, all official lookin’. They say you can get it shipped to your house, even. But I bet it costs an arm and a leg, just for that YSL name. I heard the price, I almost fainted. My old bag, it’s been with me for years, and it cost less than a chicken dinner.
They got all kinds of colors, I guess. Black, they say, is popular. And magenta, that’s a fancy word for pink, ain’t it? They call it box calfskin leather, like a baby cow. Poor little thing. All for a bag. And antique gold-tone hardware. Sounds fancy, but it’s probably just regular metal.
Now, they got a whole bunch of these LE CARRé handbags on their website. All different kinds, but they all look kinda the same to me. Just a square bag with a strap. They show all these pictures, tryin’ to make it look good. But it’s just a bag, I tell ya. You can buy them on that eBay thing, too, but still, they’re not cheap, even there. Those rich folks, they buy these things like they’re nothin’.
I reckon folks just payin’ for the name. YSL, that’s what they want. They wanna show off, say they got a designer bag. It’s like buyin’ those fancy chickens, the ones with the blue eggs. They taste the same as regular eggs, but they cost more. Same with this bag, I bet. It holds your stuff just like any other bag, but it’s got that fancy name on it.
So, they got all this information on their website about the bag. Where it’s made, what it’s made of, all that stuff. They even talk about the environment, like they’re doin’ somethin’ good for the world. I don’t know about all that. It’s a bag. Made from a cow. How good can that be? If you ask me, it is just a bag.
This YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL, it’s just a bag. A fancy, expensive bag. But still, just a bag. Don’t let them fool ya. You don’t need a fancy bag to be somebody. Your old purse is probably just fine. Unless you got money to burn, then go ahead, buy that YSL bag. But me, I’ll stick with my old faithful. It’s got character, that’s what I say. And it didn’t cost me a fortune, neither.
