Hey everyone, it’s your guy back again with another project. So, I got this idea to remake the Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG. You know, the one with the fancy YSL logo on it? Yeah, that one. It’s called the “original order” thingamajig. I ain’t no fancy pants, but I like a good challenge and I know a thing or two about bags, so I thought, why not?
First thing I did was to look around. I checked out where people buy these bags. Turns out, you can find ’em all over the place, even online. Some folks say you can get ’em used, which might be cheaper. I even heard that some places have a whole bunch of these YSL bags.
Here’s what I did step-by-step:
- Gathered my materials: I needed some good quality leather, a YSL logo (which I found online from a seller), and some sturdy hardware. I wanted this bag to be a solid piece, ya know?
- Took measurements: I found some pictures and descriptions of the original June Box Bag online, especially noting its structured design and size. Gotta get those dimensions right, or it won’t look like the real deal. It’s all about that bulbous and brilliant look that Saint Laurent’s known for.
- Cut the leather: This was the tricky part. I had to make sure each piece was cut perfectly so they’d all fit together just right. It’s like a puzzle, but with leather.
- Sewed it all up: I ain’t no professional, but I got a sewing machine and I know how to use it. Sewed those pieces together, making sure the seams were strong and neat. I used a heavy-duty thread, ’cause I wanted this bag to last.
- Added the YSL logo: This was the cherry on top. I carefully attached the YSL logo to the front flap. This ain’t just any logo; it’s a pivoting one, which means it moves a bit. Makes the bag look more authentic. This logo is called Cassandre, always shines on the bag.
- Put on the hardware: I added a chain strap and the closure mechanism. Gotta have that functional aspect, right? It’s not just for show.
It took some time, a lot of patience, and a few mess-ups, but I finally did it. I made my own version of the YSL June Box Bag. It’s got that structured design, the front flap, and that iconic YSL closure.
The End Result
I gotta say, I’m pretty proud of how it turned out. It’s a good-lookin’ bag, if I do say so myself. Now, I’m not sayin’ it’s exactly like the ones you buy in those fancy stores, but it’s got the spirit, ya know? It is not easy, if you got the money and you want a good-lookin’ bag that’ll last, then maybe you can try it. But if you are like me, you know what I mean.
So, there you have it. That’s my take on this here Remake Yves Saint Laurent YSL JUNE BOX BAG Original order project. It was a fun ride, and I learned a lot. Maybe I’ll try another one of these projects soon. Until then, stay cool, folks!
