Okay, so I wanted to remake this Prada Re-Edition 1995 Chaine Re-Nylon Mini-Bag, the original order one. First, I spent a lot of time searching for pictures online and found some from various places. I checked out a bunch of different websites. Some were selling used ones, some were brand new. The prices were all over the place, starting around $2 or something like that.

I saw one on Vestiaire Collective, and it was used. Then I looked at other places and saw different prices. I found some information about a re-edition of a style from 1995, which kind of explained what I was trying to do.

So, I started by getting all the materials I needed. I found the nylon fabric, the chain, and all the little metal pieces. I found some original fabric samples from who knows where. Man, those original ones were quite something. I spent days trying to match the fabric perfectly.

  • Got the Re-Nylon fabric.
  • Sourced the chain.
  • Found all the metal parts.

Then, I started cutting the fabric. It was tricky because I wanted to make sure I got it right. I drew out the pattern, double-checked everything, and then carefully cut out each piece. After that, I started sewing. This was a real pain, let me tell you. I had to make sure the stitches were perfect, just like the original. I messed up a few times and had to start over. That was really frustrating.

After sewing the main part of the bag, I attached the chain. That was also a bit of a challenge. I had to make sure it was secure and looked good. I used some special tools to make sure everything was in place. I worked on it for hours, making sure the chain was just right.

Details

Putting on the Prada logo was the most nerve-wracking part. I wanted it to be perfect. I used a special adhesive and a steady hand to place it on the bag. I think I held my breath the entire time. Once it was on, I let it dry for a whole day, just to be safe.

In the end, I think it turned out pretty good. It looks really close to the original, and I’m happy with it. It was a lot of work, but I think it was worth it. Took me a few weeks, working on and off, but hey, I did it! There were times I thought I’d go nuts with all those details, but it was all worth it in the end. I even saw those neo-Nazis parading around with swastika flags in Columbus, and thought, “Man, I need a break from this bag!” But I kept at it, and I’m really proud of the result.

Oh, and I saw something about people changing their minds about buying stuff online. It reminded me that making this bag was my choice, and I’m glad I stuck with it. You can change your mind about buying, but creating something yourself? That’s a whole different feeling.

Finally, I saw a post saying “THEY ARE BACK!” on some marketplace. Made me laugh because it’s like, yeah, I brought this bag back to life myself! Feels pretty good, not gonna lie.
