Well, howdy there, y’all! Let’s yak a bit ‘bout this here Remake Yves Saint Laurent YSL ENVELOPE BAG thing, ya hear? Folks keep jabberin’ ‘bout it, so I figured I’d put in my two cents, even if it ain’t worth a plugged nickel.
Now, I ain’t no fancy pants city gal, but I know what I like. And I reckon this here YSL Envelope bag, or whatever they call it, it’s somethin’ special. I seen pictures, and let me tell ya, that there little YSL thingamajig on it, it’s kinda purdy. Folks say it’s an “iconic monogram,” but I just call it a fancy buckle.
Seems like this here bag, it ain’t just any ol’ bag. It’s a “coveted contemporary classic,” or so them city folks say. To me, it just looks like a good place to put yer stuff, ya know? Like yer pocketbook, but fancier. And they got all sorts of sizes too. Big ‘uns, little ‘uns, in-between ‘uns. Enough to make yer head spin, I tell ya.
- Big ‘uns: Good for carryin’ everthin’ but the kitchen sink.
- Little ‘uns: Just enough for yer lipstick and a few dollars.
- In-between ‘uns: For when ya wanna look fancy but don’t need to haul half the house with ya.
Now, where to get yer hands on one of these here bags? Well, that’s the million-dollar question, ain’t it? Folks say you can go to the Saint Laurent Official Website. That’s where they sell all the real McCoy stuff, they say. They call it the “official flagship store”, sounds mighty important, don’t it?
But if yer lookin’ for a deal, ya might wanna try yer luck at other places. I heard tell of “specialty stores” and even that there eBay thing. Never been on that eBay myself, sounds kinda complicated. But folks say you can find all sorts of things there, even these here fancy bags. And sometimes, they say, you can get ‘em cheaper. Free shippin’ too, whatever that means.
And get this, I heard that these here YSL bags, they’re cheaper over in Europe. Paris, to be exact. Can ya believe it? Cheaper! They say it’s ‘cause of somethin’ called VAT refund. Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me, but if it means gettin’ a cheaper bag, well, I ain’t complainin’. But flyin’ all the way to Paris just for a bag? That’s a bit much, even for them city folks, I reckon.
Now, how do ya know if yer gettin’ the real deal and not some cheap knockoff? That’s somethin’ I been wonderin’ too. Folks say to look for a “serial number.” Apparently, all them real bags got one. And on them little leather things, like wallets and such, they got a “date code” hid somewhere near the stitchin’. Sounds like a lot of trouble to me, but I guess if yer spendin’ a lot of money, ya wanna make sure yer gettin’ what ya paid for.
Anyways, this here Saint Laurent Envelope collection, it seems like a pretty big deal. Women are all gaga over ‘em. They call ‘em “handbags,” but to me, they’re just fancy purses. And they ain’t cheap neither. But I guess if ya got the money and ya wanna look fancy, then go for it, I say. Me? I’m happy with my ol’ canvas tote bag. It holds everything, doesn’t fall apart, and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
But I can still admire a purdy thing when I see one. And this here YSL Envelope bag, it sure is purdy. Whether it’s the real thing from the “official flagship store” or a good deal on eBay, it’s somethin’ to talk about, ain’t it? And if you’re lucky enough to snag one, well, good for you! Just don’t forget where you came from, ya hear? ‘Cause at the end of the day, it’s just a bag, even if it does have that fancy little YSL buckle on it.
