Okay, so I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA Speedmaster 38mm watch for a while now. My wrists are not the biggest, you know, so I figured this smaller size would be perfect. I started by looking around for the watch I wanted, just to see what was out there.
I found a few different versions of this Speedmaster 38. There’s the 324.30.38.50.06.001, which is a chronograph with a grey dial. Then there is this other model, 324.18.38.50.63.001, that comes with a leather strap. They look pretty cool, honestly.
- I saw some posts talking about the caseback. Apparently, the OMEGA globe logo was moved from the edge to the lug. That is a small detail, but hey, it is something.
- I also learned that the whole Speedmaster 38mm collection has tons of different materials and colors. Like, there is something for everyone, whether you are a guy or a girl.
I noticed the size difference between the Speedmaster 38 and the Speedmaster Professional. The 38 is, well, 38mm, and the Professional is 42mm. That 4mm makes a difference on the wrist, at least for me it does.
There were a bunch of places selling these watches, even some with clearance sales. After looking at all the options and reading about the different models, I finally decided to go for it.
I ended up getting the one with the white dial and white bezel, housed in a stainless steel case. And you know what? It fits perfectly. It is not too big, not too small. Just right. I am pretty happy with my purchase, I have to say.
