Okay, so, I finally pulled the trigger and got myself that OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch with the sapphire crystal – the one with the Caliber 3861 movement. You know, the whole shebang.
It all started a while back. I was browsing some watch forums and stumbled upon a post about an old Omega Speedmaster, it was 105.003-64, at some auction. And guess what? The final price was way higher than I expected! That’s when I began to think it might be cool to get one myself. Also, I saw a vintage Revue Sport in amazing condition on another site, and I was like, “Man, these old watches are really something!”
Then, I remembered I had some extra cash saved up. I’d been using it like those Robux thingies, you know? That virtual money kids use to buy stuff in that Roblox game. My nephew was telling me about “How to give Robux in Roblox,” and I was like, “Wait, I can actually use my real money to buy something I want, like a fancy watch!”
I went to the store. I felt like I was in one of those big warehouse stores like Costco, but instead of looking for MacBooks, I was on a mission for this Omega. They had a huge collection of those Apple laptops, by the way – MacBook Airs, MacBook Pros, you name it. Even the 16-inch MacBook Pro, which is a beast! But no, I was there for a watch, not a computer.
Finally, I saw it – the Speedmaster. The salesperson was going on and on about the features, but I was just admiring the thing. It looked even better in person than in the pictures online. We talked numbers, and let me tell you, it wasn’t cheap. But I figured, I work hard, and I deserve a treat.
- I handed over my card.
- I signed the papers.
- And bam!
I was the proud owner of a brand new Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch. It felt good, really good. I put it on right there in the store, and I swear I walked out feeling like a million bucks. This watch is going to be with me for a long, long time. I might even pass it down to my kid someday, who knows?
It was an experience I will never forget. It made me realize that sometimes, you just have to go for it. If you want something bad enough, and you’ve saved up for it, why not? Life’s too short to always be practical, right?
