This here Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph, that’s a mouthful, ain’t it? They call it “Specialty Stores”. Well, it’s a fancy watch, that’s for sure. My grandbaby showed it to me on that computer thing. Said it’s all the rage. I seen a lot of watches in my day, but this one’s somethin’ else.
They say it’s for “mature” folks. Well, I guess I’m plenty mature! But you don’t gotta be old to wear it. It don’t matter if you wear it with some fancy get up or your old jeans and sneakers. That there is a sports watch, they say. Made way back in the day, in 1931, so it looks kinda old fashioned, but it’s still a sports watch. They call these things “Reverso”.
These Jaeger-LeCoultre watches, they hold their value. Like a good piece of land, you know? You buy it, and it’s worth somethin’ later on. Maybe even more! This one here, it’s like that. ‘Cause it’s made good. And folks like ’em. Some of them JLC Reverso watches are worth more than others, but they’re all pretty good for holdin’ onto your money.
- They only made 250 of these special ones. That’s not a whole lot.
- Comes with two straps, a fancy black one, and a brown one.
- They made the brown one special, at some fancy place called “Casa”.
This watch, it does what it’s supposed to. Tells time, I reckon. But it’s more than that. It’s like a little piece of history, I guess. I don’t know much about that kinda stuff, but that’s what they say.
You can get your initials put on it, or some words. Costs extra, though. ‘Bout $370, they say. Or you can get fancy pictures, like flowers or them Chinese zodiac things, or that there Eiffel Tower. Cost you a pretty penny, I bet. These Reverso Tribute Chronograph things, they’re somethin’ else.
They showed this watch off at some big fancy show, somethin’ called “Watches and Wonders”. Must be a lot of rich folks there, lookin’ at all them shiny things. This JLC Reverso, that was one of ’em.
Now, they got these fake ones out there, too. Gotta be careful. My grandbaby told me about a fella who got tricked. Bought a fake Reverso. Same numbers on it as a real one. That’s a shame, ain’t it? You gotta watch out for them crooks. These fake Reverso watches are no good.
This here watch, the real one, it’s expensive. They got one made of steel, that’s $21,400. And one made of pink gold, that’s $37,400. That’s a lot of money! More than I ever seen, that’s for sure. But, they say it’s worth it. Some rich folks don’t need to worry about the price of JLC Reverso.
This new one, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Chronograph, it’s made of that pink gold. And it’s a “limited edition”. That means they only made a few of ’em. Makes it even more special, I guess. And more expensive, probably! It must be real nice to have that kind of money to buy a Reverso Tribute Chronograph.
Well, that’s all I know about this here fancy watch. It’s a pretty thing, that’s for sure. Maybe someday I’ll see one in person. But for now, I’ll just look at the pictures on that computer. And dream a little dream, I guess.

You know that JLC Reverso is a good watch. People like it. I don’t know why. But people are crazy about it. They say it can keep its value. Just like a good house. I wish I had one. But that price is too high. I can only dream about it. I hope one day my grandbaby can buy it for me. I will be happy if I can see it before I die. I don’t know if I can wait that long.
If you have money to buy this watch, you are lucky. I don’t know many people like you. Most people I know work hard every day. They don’t have money to buy things like this Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Chronograph. They can only see it on that computer thing. Or on TV. They say it is a good watch. Maybe one day I can see how good it is. I don’t know. But I hope so.
